FM2MIDI

FM2MIDI is a FileMaker Pro plugin for Windows and Mac that allows you to connect a FileMaker database to your external MIDI devices. You can send system exclusive requests and download patch bank information. You can send MIDI control messages and patch select messages. The plugin allows you to get your MIDI port names and you can read and write MIDI data to sysex files.

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH FM2MIDI

  • Send a sysex request to an external device and receive the response.
  • Start the receive function and FM2MIDI will wait while you send a sysex dump manually from your MIDI device.
  • Send patch change and MIDI control change messages.
  • Modify sysex data and send it back to your MIDI device.
  • Get the count and name of each MIDI port connected to your computer.
  • Read and write sysex data to a sysex file.
  • Includes documentation and example files to help you get started.

On May 15, FileMaker, Inc. released FileMaker 17. My in-house testing of FM2MIDI shows that version 2.2.0 is compatible with FileMaker 17. If you encounter issues, use the contact page to submit a bug report.
